Unforgettable four-hour tour at the oldest crossroads of the world !
Visit the Topkapi Palace, once the palace of the Sultans of the Ottoman Empire, Topkapi is a vast treasury of Islamic culture, science and weaponry, visited by over 2 million people every year. It is one of the highlights of Turkey.
Visit the Underground Cistern (Basilica Cistern),waterway was used as a reservoir for water storage for the Great Palace and other buildings. It is 132 m length, by 65m wide. There are 336 columns in the cistern. Most of the column capitals are either in Corinthian or Doric Style. It’s impressive.
After leaving the Basilica Cistern you will finally have the opportunity to do some haggling at the Grand Bazaar, the Grand Bazaar in Istanbul is like any bazaar except that, as its explains, it is all within one huge building. Depending on how you measure it, the covered market here could be the largest shopping center in the world, numbering over 4,000 individual shops, you will find among masses of modern trash an approximation of youthful dreams of the glamorous oriental market.

If you do noting else in Istanbul the Palace is my first preference as it provides all the history about Sultans in the Middle Kingdom. The Harem should be included. Don't miss the library in the main palace.
The history of this place is amazing. Besides the building they show a lot of details like spectacular jewelry and weapons of many centuries. Unfortunately we did not have time to see the Harem.
I booked a private tour for 8 people for a one day cruise stop in November, at the port of Istanbul my booking was done through email.
A fabulous day! Thank you
Wonderful tour! Our guide Taylan was very informative, pleasant and was able to guide us to the major sites that we wanted to see.. He took us to a great restaurant where we enjoyed great Turkish food in a wonderful atmosphere and with very good service.. We loved Turkey and the people we met were very friendly…We highly recommend this tour!

A visit to the Topkapi Palace affords a great insight into the life of the Sultan and more to the working of his court. Make sure that you pay the extra to visit the Harem; many who visited with us did not which made it mercifully empty of visitors.
An absolutely stunning place, increadible mosaics and tiles, i especially enjoyed the gardens and fantastic views.
The Grand Bazzar in Istanbul was ultra crowded, full of jewelry, tee shirt, cheap hat, spice, cheap bracelet shops and VERY, VERY PUSHY shopkeepers. This is no place for anyone with walking difficulties – or in fact for anyone.
We love Basilica Cistern. It was so atmospheric. The lighting was magical. Amazing to go underground to discover such a vast area of columns and water. There were even fish swimming in the pools. Luckily there are walkways now so you do not need to wade.
Coming from Rome to Istanbul, I was partly expecting the Archaeological Museum to be as impressive as what I could find in Rome. While not quite as expansive, if you are interested in ancient history & archaeology, it is certainly worth the trip.
I would recommend using this company when you visit Istanbul!
