Visit one of the most magnificent museums in the world Hagia Sophia ,you will be captivated by the beauty ,of this ancient basilica, with its mosaics, nartex, galleries and incomparable architecture, built by the Byzantine Emperor Justinian in the 6th Century.
Visit the Istanbul Archaeology Museum, just inside the first court of Topkapi Palace and includes the Museum of the Ancient Orient. The museum has an excellent collection of Greek and Roman artifacts, including finds from Ephesus and Troy.
After leaving the Archaeology Museum, you will finally have the opportunity to do some haggling at the Grand Bazaar, the Grand Bazaar in Istanbul is like any bazaar except that, as its explains, it is all within one huge building. Depending on how you measure it, the covered market here could be the largest shopping center in the world, numbering over 4,000 individual shops, you will find among masses of modern trash an approximation of youthful dreams of the glamorous oriental market.

It was an absolute pleasure being guided through this wonderful city by Cansu. Her passion for the historical significance of the city was inspiring. Her knowledge of all of the sights was remarkable. And her friendly smile and sense of humour were wonderful.
I’d highly recommend the tour to anybody who visits Istanbul.
There are 3 buildings; don't miss the first two for archaeological finds, statues and sarcophagi. The third is most beautiful and is of interest for its lovely tiled walls and colorful glass windows.
The Grand Bazaar is only really good for the atmosphere. It is, as promised, a buzzing indoor market offering a multitude of tourist-trap items.
Hagia Sophia is probably one of the most special churches, not in Turkey, but in all around the world. It has a magnificient architecture, in which the dome constitutes the top notch. But apart from its architectural brilliance, there are a lot of mythical and religious stories about the place.
I went to this museum by myself and was wowed! One building is under restoration, am not sure what I missed, but my gosh! Even the outside is full of ancient columns and stuff. It was overwhelming (in a good way), my favorite was the sarcophagi section.
El tour privado de istanbul esun sueño hermoso
Hagia Sophia a huge ancient Christian church which bacame a muslim place of worship during the Ottoman Empire. Great exterior but the queues to go inside were so long we could not stay to see inside – pity as it is apparently be spectacular.
taty 🙂
The collection of paintings, sculptures and archaeology is impressive. Great musuem absolutely marvelous to see the workmanship.
Hagia Sophia is very important for us Ortodox because it has been the biggest Ortodox church for 1000 years, and later in Ottoman period a great mosque, and now museum with elements of both religion.
