Los tour privados generalmentw nos llevan a algunas partes pero este creo que vimos mas de la mitad de istanbul y fue muy economico
I was stunned to hear that the city was thousands of years older than originally thought. They have found evidence that this city has been inhabited for nearly 8000 years!
Hagia Sophia must see while in Istanbul.
We spent a week end in Istanbul and decided to book a walking a tour of Istanbul. We thoroughly enjoyed our time. I would definately recommend this tour to anyone who wants to visit Istanbul!
Everyone visiting Istanbul needs to visit the Grand Bazaar. How long you actually stay there depends on whether you can stand the crowded indoor alleyways, and the very pushy shop owners It is almost, no, actually completely impossible, to browse in any of the shops.
If you like the city, visit the museum and explore its past, from the sumerians to the otomans to today´s Istanbul, this place has endless information sources, all backed up by their impressive collection of relics, including alexander's sarcophagus, the oldest love poem, the treaty of kadesh, and the tiled animals from Ishtar gate to name a few.
Archaeology Museum it is absolutely the most important sight in Istambul. The most amazing part, for me, are the Greek/Hellenistic/Roman/Byzantian collections, covering about 2000 years of continuous uninterrupted development, where you can see direct transition from the archaic/classical Greek style to Italian Renaissance.
The Royal Necropolis of Sidon and the collection of sarcophagi as a whole, are truly unique. There are many other interesting departments. Oriental collections extremely impressive, especially the Hittite artefacts. Other departments, such as Troia, architecture of Byzantium/Constantinople, mosaics, etc., etc. also deserve a visit.
We contacted this company by email and received very prompt response from Burcu. My friend and I only had two days in instanbul and wanted to see the city without wasting time finding our way around. The company agreed to pick us up from the airport, give us a tour on the first day, take us to the hotel, pick..us up the next day for a private tour, and take us back to the airport. Our guide Taylan was extremely well informed and had a good feel for our interests and the pace at which we wanted to see things. He chose wonderful restaurants for dinner. He was a very interesting person and a pleasant companion for the two days in Istanbul. We learned a lot about Turkish history and culture from him. At the end of the tour, Taylan met us to ensure everything went as planned. He took a very personal interest in our having a great tour. I would highly recommend this company.
