Visit one of the most magnificent museums in the world Hagia Sophia ,you will be captivated by the beauty ,of this ancient basilica, with its mosaics, nartex, galleries and incomparable architecture, built by the Byzantine Emperor Justinian in the 6th Century.
Visit the Istanbul Archaeology Museum, just inside the first court of Topkapi Palace and includes the Museum of the Ancient Orient. The museum has an excellent collection of Greek and Roman artifacts, including finds from Ephesus and Troy.
After leaving the Archaeology Museum, you will finally have the opportunity to do some haggling at the Grand Bazaar, the Grand Bazaar in Istanbul is like any bazaar except that, as its explains, it is all within one huge building. Depending on how you measure it, the covered market here could be the largest shopping center in the world, numbering over 4,000 individual shops, you will find among masses of modern trash an approximation of youthful dreams of the glamorous oriental market.

After walking round the museum, the highlight of which was the new exhibition of boats recovered from the ancient harbour during the new tunnel dig, we listened to a sound check while having cool drink outside.
Hagia Sophia gave me the "WOW" moment in Istanbul. It is beautiful, well maintained, affordable admission ticket, it is a must-see of Istanbul.
My family and our New York friends were visiting Istanbul and we all enjoyed the visit to Aya Sofya the most. The flavor of both Byzantine and Ottoman Empires is just great.
