Visit the Dolmabahce Palace, is one of the most imposing and beautiful pieces of architecture along the Bosphorus, built 1843. Dolmabahce Palace, the monumental example of the Ottoman capital city, influenced by the widespread aesthetical approaches of the dominant European architecture at that time, comprises many characteristics of the Ottoman palace architecture tradition. It is one of the highlights of Turkey.
After leaving the Dolmabahce Palace you will have the opportunity to do some haggling at the Grand Bazaar, the Grand Bazaar in Istanbul is like any bazaar except that, as its explains, it is all within one huge building. Depending on how you measure it, the covered market here could be the largest shopping center in the world, numbering over 4,000 individual shops, you will find among masses of modern trash an approximation of youthful dreams of the glamorous oriental market.

For those for whom "shopping" is an emotional experience, a visit to Istanbul cannot be complete without a visit to the Grand Bazaar. Given, this is no longer a visit to historical Istanbul. Even I, who first visited the Grand Bazaar in the late '60s can see how commercialized and unauthentic it has become since then.
Istanbul was the most amazing city…returned four weeks ago and sad to see the rioting there…if is all calms down, be SURE to go visit this amazing city…adventure of a lifetime…but NOT for the physically challenged…there is no handicap access anywhere that i saw….
Thank you very much for the Mystery Tours

You may think it's too crowded and it's such a long walk to go through the whole BAZAAR! true but it is a must visit attraction in Istanbul, very interesting, you see locals all around selling all kinds of clothing, souvenirs, fake brands, a huge selection of everything…
I have never had a better tour guide than Selcuk Senkan. He was professional, funny, knowledgeable.
In an earlier week's visit, Dolmabahce Palace was not on the itinerary, and so high on our list on this second visit. The Palace and the Harem fully lived up to expectations.
The best of all the tours we did. The AC van, guide, driver, and lunch excellent.
The Grand Bazaar is only really good for the atmosphere. It is, as promised, a buzzing indoor market offering a multitude of tourist-trap items.
We had planned a cruise onboard the Royal Princess with a one day stop at our most anticipated port…Istanbul. We barely scratched the surface of this vibrant and historic city……but Taylan certainly gave us our best chance! He was organized from start to finish, anticipating our needs, modifying the itinerary for our requests ( the man jumped out of our private van to secure possibly the best baklava ever) so we could enjoy on our trip back to the ship. Taylan is organized, knowledgeable, easy going and charming. Our family thoroughly enjoyed Istanbul thanks to Taylan.
