Having Taylan as our guide in Istanbul was the best decision. He is not only knowledgeable and experienced, but his friendly and warm manner made our visit most enjoyable. We laughed and learned, and it was more like having a friend then a guide. Taylan, I will most definitely look you up on my next visit to Istanbul! Thank you!
The grand bazaar is big beyond belief. There are so many shops and corridors, you lose your bearings in this maze. At the same time you think how much stuff there is in the bazaar. As it is under a roof and there are so many people, there might be a shortage of air.
Hagia Sophia is what an incredible building. We were lucky enough to have a guide with us who was able to tell us about its history and the changes it has gone through in the journey from church to mosque. The renovation work is still uncovering christian works of art hidden in the muslim era.
Hagia Sophia is one of the "must see" place in istanbul. It is full of history. I have been there several to take my freinds. whoevere I take they were very impressed. I go there with every occation. I highly recommend people to visit there.
Grand Bazaar is touristy, and crowded, and you are likely to be verbally assaulted by shop keepers trying to sell you something. So what? This is a magnificent place like nothing else in the world. appreciate it for the architecture, for the history, for the kitsch.
You cannot visit Hagia Sophia just once….We visited this Historic and Holy Place while on a privatetour from a Cruise Ship…To be in a massive structure built aprox in the 7th century in Constantinople is overwhelming in a good way…..We will be back and do our own tour of this and the other sites in Ancient Constantinople ( Istanbul)…
Hagia Sophia is probably one of the most special churches, not in Turkey, but in all around the world. It has a magnificient architecture, in which the dome constitutes the top notch. But apart from its architectural brilliance, there are a lot of mythical and religious stories about the place.
I would like to thank Taylan for promptly putting together a tour for us. Giving us your recommendations and being reliable. Eventhough you personally were not able to show us around due to privatetour commitments you made sure we were not left aside and found us a guide that you felt comfortable wIth. We had a fantastic time, thanks to you and your thoughtfulness!
We thoroughly enjoyed our day and have no hesitation recommending anyone visiting this incredible city. Thanks
Incredible tour. We were able to see so much in so little time. If you are visiting Istanbul you’ll not regret.
