After leaving the Hippodrome, you will finally have the opportunity to do some haggling at the Grand Bazaar, the Grand Bazaar in Istanbul is like any bazaar except that, as its explains, it is all within one huge building. We arranged a tour of Istanbul and Ephesus and both were top notch. Good drivers and guides, prompt service. Our guide arranged a traditional lunch for our group close to Ephesus and it was excellent, reasonable price and nice cold beer on a hot day! The Grand Bazaar is one of the site-seeing spot in our tour. You can totally see & feel the history & culture of this place as soon as you walk in. There are thousands of shops in the Grand Bazaar, it’ll take a day to walk through all the shops.
O me, the atmosphere there in Hagia Sophia so special, sacred, fair… Right now, there are huge scaffolds standing in there on the left side, which is a bit of a pity for those who cannot come like twice a year..
The Hippodrome is the ancient Byzantine/ Roman racetrack that existed in ancient Constantinople. Now it is just a plaza with a few remaining monuments next to the Blue Mosque and the Islamic Art Museum. Although it is not that spectacular in it's current state, it is worth a visit to imagine what it was like once.

Every holiday in Istanbul has to include the Grand Bazaar. You could spend hours here. I was surprised that we were not hassled as much as expected… not sure why .. but very pleased. Purchased the appropriate shirts and hats and …. all good … Not to be missed
This tour was booked as from a cruise ship arrival for 10 people. I must say we realy enjoyed we had a great time.
The panorama’s are breathtaking! I was fortunate to have visited the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sofia Cathedral and the Topkapi Palace. All three are very different, but absolutely stunning in their beauty, history and architecture. It’s a must to see, as is Istanbul and Turkey.
Hagia Sophia tt doesn't look much from outside,but it's a gorgeous building on the inside. You can feel the history and see and learn a lot about those times – the war between Islam and Christianity. It's a must see for those,interested in history and architecture .
