I highly recommend her for anybody planning to have a sightseeing tour in Istanbul. The city is amazing, but having someone take you around and put the history and architecture into context made it even more so. We were extremely pleased with our guide Taylan. I would recommend this tour to anybody who is visiting Istanbul.
The group had a great time in Istanbul. In all, this was the most wonderful tour.
Hagia Sophia is one of the ‘must see’ in Istanbul. Exterior doesn’t look so attractive compared to interiors. Go to upper floor and while doing so see horses used to go there in Byzantine empire. The huge area is capped by a dome of epic proportions and it’s treasured by 2 religions.
Hagia Sophia is a must place to visit while you are in Istanbul. It is one of the biggest chrches of Euro -Asia. Depicting the pristine architecturul heritage of the Roman ( Byzentine) empire. The Museum is a historical place .
Topkapi Palace is a huge complex and to do this properly you might need a whole day. Get there early and go straight to the Treasury ( big diamond) and the Hareem as these deveope big queues quite quickly. Then take you time wandering around the various about the various courtyards.
The Hippodrome is gives a nice glimpse into life in the Byzantine Era. With the German Fountain on one end, and the impressive Obelisk of Theodosius at the other end, it is a nice place to take a stroll and envision what took place here.
Topkapi Palace as a great piece of architecture, it truly stands out. The interiors, the massive expansive structure, the different parts of the palace, take most of your day. So,keep a full day till 5 pm for visiting this palace. There is a separate ticket for the harem section. So,if you are not interested ,take only the palace tickets.H AREM section is separate n has another entrance.

Wow! Basilica Cistern was interesting and you'd never know it existed! Our guide took us from and crowded street to another world underground. Unbelievable the amount of Roman effort to build this cistern and ensure a reliable water supply for the ancient city. Go!
