Visit the Topkapi Palace, once the palace of the Sultans of the Ottoman Empire, Topkapi is a vast treasury of Islamic culture, science and weaponry, visited by over 2 million people every year. It is one of the highlights of Turkey. Visit the Underground Cistern (Basilica Cistern),waterway was used as a reservoir for water storage for the Great Palace and other buildings. It is 132 m length, by 65m wide. There are 336 columns in the cistern. Most of the column capitals are either in Corinthian or Doric Style. It’s impressive. Visit the Hippodrome see the famous Obelisk from Egypt, a remarkable pink granite monument built 3,500 years ago The Byzantine Hippodrome, with the Obelisk of Theodosius, was brought from Heliopolis, Egypt, and the Serpentine Column from Delphi during the reign of Constantine. After leaving the Hippodrome, you will finally have the opportunity to do some haggling at the Grand Bazaar, the Grand Bazaar in Istanbul is like any bazaar except that, as its explains, it is all within one huge building. Depending on how you measure it, the covered market here could be the largest shopping center in the world, numbering over 4,000 individual shops, you will find among masses of modern trash an approximation of youthful dreams of the glamorous oriental market.Inclusions

Hagia Sophia ! Incredible ! This was the longest line we were subjected to while in Istanbul, but it was definitely worth it. I had done plenty of research beforehand, which turned out to be good because there is little to no information once inside. My recommendation: do your research on the history beforehand and just enjoy the stunning architecture.
Hagia Sophia is what an incredible building. We were lucky enough to have a guide with us who was able to tell us about its history and the changes it has gone through in the journey from church to mosque. The renovation work is still uncovering christian works of art hidden in the muslim era.
Grand Bazaar Really is a Wonderful Place.
Read a lot before you visit Topkapi, the place is really huge. Be prepared to wait at least 20 min to get into the jewelry pavilions. Some of the buildings can be closed due to reconstruction.
I love this Topkapi Palace. It is so different. Tt is a magical palace!
Hagia Sophia fantastic old building currently undergoing major renovation work so many of the paintings etc undercover, good idea to buy the 72 hour museum pass as you can then. Jump the queue.
Thank you to Gokhan for sharing Istanbul with us with wonderful narratives, humor, and heart. He made our first experience in Istanbul a lasting impression. We haven’t stopped talking about our new friend Gokhan and have taken away with us a broader view of Turkey, the beautiful people, and life there in the past and the present. If you do one thing while in Istanbul, don’t hesitate to take a tour with this man….he will make your visit feel alive. Thank you for treating us Californian’s with such kinship and ease….it was a spectacular experience that we will recommend to all our friends.
As we were visiting Istanbul in late Autumn, there were no huge crowds, and we had essentially no wait to enter any of the museums. However, not even a great tour guide could overcome the Istanbul traffic, and it took us almost an hour to return from the Grand Bazaar to the cruise port as we were caught in the rush hour (due to late ship arrival) of locals trying to get over the Bosphorus bridge to the Asian side. We did, however, make our ship.
Overall, could not have been more satisfied. Price was quite fair given that it was a private tour. Definite 5 – Stars.
Tour required mild walking and some stairs, definitely not wheelchair accessible.

Visiting istanbul without visiting the Hagia Sophia is a big loss ! Its a very nice place n well done thy have managed to keep it as it is n thy r taking good care of it…
We started our tour of Istanbul with a visit to the Archeological museum. We bought the museum pass at the gate. This will give you access to the Istanbul Archaeology Museum, Topkapi, Topkapi harem, Haga Sophia and Chora museums. The pass is very convenient and saved us about 20 minutes time of queue for Topkapi and Haga Sophia.
