We had a fantastic time and would love to go back to Istanbul to explore more.
We had a great full day tour of Istanbul. The tour was booked as from a cruise ship arrival for 10 people. I must say we realy enjoyed we had a great time.
I enjoyed this amazing Basilica Cistern. I was like two hours taking photograhps and looking the stone´s walls; after I understood the history, inmediatjly under the old city.
Topkapi Palace was incredible! Get there just before 9AM and choose either Harem or Privy Room. Walk directly to your choice and enjoy the ten to fifteen minutes where you have the place to yourself. Be prepared to spend at least a half day in this place (bare minimum and so worth it).
Basilica Cistern enormous underground reservoir is imaginatively lit with various fish swimming in the waters around the gangways.
一日紧凑的行程下来,看了Haigi SOPHIA,TOPKAPI 皇宫,蓝色清真寺,还有黄金大市集,觉得不虚此行。中午吃了羊肉KEBAB,太好吃了!
There are two obelisks and the broken Serpent Column in the Hippodrome. The obelisk of Thutmosis III is impressive an appears unweathered after thousands of years.
The Basilica Cistern is easy to miss – being underground, the entrance is from a low-key looking door on the street – the engineering that went into this such a long time ago is so hard to get your head around – a simply amazing achievement. Beautiful, peaceful atmosphere. Highly worth a look.
The Hagia Sophia architecture is very unique in both inside and outside. It survived many years of revolution in the past and offer a great deal of history.
From the time i first visited Sultanahmet Camii till this time none of my opinions have changed. The way i was amazed and stunned , same way i remain. It was constructed in 1610 and still has that beauty and mystery of past years from Ottoman Empire.
