After leaving the Hippodrome, you will finally have the opportunity to do some haggling at the Grand Bazaar, the Grand Bazaar in Istanbul is like any bazaar except that, as its explains, it is all within one huge building. We so appreciate Taylan’s arranging a guide for us at the last minute. We got a wonderful review of his services from a neighbor just as we were leaving for Istanbul. He was able to reach out to a guide he trusted and arrange for two days in Istanbul visiting the most important sites.
Topkapi Palace is one of the largest palaces in the world. Build it 1470 by sultan Mehmet following his conquest, this is a must see destination in Istanbul.
El Paisaje de istanbul privado fue otra perspectiva del lugar ya que es mi segunda vez lo recomiendo
A must visit Hagia Sophia church built 1500 hundred years ago. Hard to think how they could pull it off at 500 ac
The square in front of the Blue Mosque is located on the site of the ancient Hippodrome. No effort is needed to read the history of this place before you take a sit in one of the benches around; then you will appreciate it. It was a centre of the civil activities and social life of the old Constantinople.
Basilica Cistern a must-see, as you can appreciate the centuries-old history of this place. Remnants of Roman temples were "recycled" to form the water cistern.
The Grand Bazaar was one of the reasons we went to Istanbul although for rather an unusual reason – my two boys were fascinated by the fact that both Sky Fall and Taken 2 were filmed either motorbiking or running over the roof and the fact that their Assassin's Creed game was partly set in the Bazaar!
Les apuesto lo que quieran que que diran jamas vi una ciudad xomo istanbul
Hagia Sophia, built in the 6th century AD by Justinian, is a true marvel. Justinian was a Roman Emperor (Eastern), and commissioned a church to be built. What a church! It is the largest free supporting dome known, and has survived many earthquakes. The inside is quite beautiful, and some of the Byzantine mosaics are truly stunning.
Topkapi Palace is so unbelievable! The views from here are worth the price of admission alone. Be sure to pay extra to visit the harem. And, save time for the rare jewels and swords. It is utterly fantastic!
