Visit the Topkapi Palace, once the palace of the Sultans of the Ottoman Empire, Topkapi is a vast treasury of Islamic culture, science and weaponry, visited by over 2 million people every year. It is one of the highlights of Turkey.
Visit the Underground Cistern (Basilica Cistern),waterway was used as a reservoir for water storage for the Great Palace and other buildings. It is 132 m length, by 65m wide. There are 336 columns in the cistern. Most of the column capitals are either in Corinthian or Doric Style. It’s impressive.
Visit the Hippodrome see the famous Obelisk from Egypt, a remarkable pink granite monument built 3,500 years ago The Byzantine Hippodrome, with the Obelisk of Theodosius, was brought from Heliopolis, Egypt, and the Serpentine Column from Delphi during the reign of Constantine.
After leaving the Hippodrome, you will finally have the opportunity to do some haggling at the Grand Bazaar, the Grand Bazaar in Istanbul is like any bazaar except that, as its explains, it is all within one huge building. Depending on how you measure it, the covered market here could be the largest shopping center in the world, numbering over 4,000 individual shops, you will find among masses of modern trash an approximation of youthful dreams of the glamorous oriental market.

For those for whom "shopping" is an emotional experience, a visit to Istanbul cannot be complete without a visit to the Grand Bazaar. Given, this is no longer a visit to historical Istanbul. Even I, who first visited the Grand Bazaar in the late '60s can see how commercialized and unauthentic it has become since then.
Que maravillla istanbul la mezquita de sultan ahmet fue lo mas lindo el tour privado fue unico
A visit to the Hagia Sophia museum was a great first site to visit in Istanbul – it laid the history of the city's history and the muslim influence – it also provided more information about the muslim culture. Beautiful museum. Lots of restoration work but still able to see majority.
Lo mas lindo de istanbul fueron las mezquitas sin duda alguna, el tour privado nos ofrecio unas maravillosas vacaciones
We spent a week end in Istanbul and decided to book a walking a tour of Istanbul. We thoroughly enjoyed our time. I would definately recommend this tour to anyone who wants to visit Istanbul!
Topkapi Palace amazing architecture!
To come to Istanbul and do not visit the Topkapi – simply a crime.
Wonderful exhibits open in the halls of the palace.
Will also be interesting for kids. My sons loved weapons (swords, guns).
Very crowded afternoon and on weekends, so come early in the morning on weekdays.
Topkapi Palace is an amazing place where you can let your mind wander into the past and imagine the lives that were lived here.
I really enjoyed visiting the Basilica Cistern. It has a very interesting history and walking along the underground chamber which was lit up with lights was great! Seeing the upside-down head of Medusa was also a lot of of fun!
Hagia Sophia is a wonder of human construction. It's history extends through many cultures, it's a must in Istanbul.
The Hippodrome was first built in AD 203 by the Roman Emperor Septimus Severus when the city was called Byzantium. The arena was used for chariot races and other entertainments. Throughout the Byzantine period, the Hippodrome was the centre of the city's social life. Huge amounts were bet on chariot races.
