La ciudad mas linda ISTANBUL sin duda alguna
I loved the Grand Bazaar! It is so great for strolling, looking and being amazed. BUT there are better prices elsewhere if you are willing to hunt. Still it is worth the trip to be amazed.
Took the all tours it was great. Our guide gave us as much information as we needed. High point was definitely the meal at the last town, where we had time to eat and hike. We had fried mussels. Wish I could have found them in Istanbul.
Grand Bazaar is touristy, and crowded, and you are likely to be verbally assaulted by shop keepers trying to sell you something. So what? This is a magnificent place like nothing else in the world. appreciate it for the architecture, for the history, for the kitsch.
Ohh I really loved the bospurus cruise ride, really great view and great sights in both shores, its great for all visitors and especially photographers.
Hagia Sophia is one of the ‘must see’ in Istanbul. Exterior doesn’t look so attractive compared to interiors. Go to upper floor and while doing so see horses used to go there in Byzantine empire. The huge area is capped by a dome of epic proportions and it’s treasured by 2 religions.
My then wife and I visited Istanbul many years ago but the visit to the Grand Bazaar was an experience that even now I can recall with great clarity.Approximately 4000 stalls under cover selling just about everything imaginable and some unmentionable.Leather goods in particular are a good buy if you are prepared to haggle.
A relaxing way to spend a half day is to take a cruise. We enjoyed having a guide. It was more expensive than a ferry but was simpler as we were picked up at hotel. If we had ;more time we would have liked to explore further with ferries.
Hagia Sophia was one of the most incredible sights I've ever seen. It is a must-see if you visit and a reason in and of itself to visit Istanbul.
