The trip up and down the Bosphorus was simply fantastic. You get to see the variety of architectural buildups from ancient to modern including the latest skyscrapers beyond the hills from the water front. The view gets even more spectacular during and after sun set, when the entire Bosphorus is lit up from the both sides.
When you walk into the Hipperdrome, you can not vison as to what it looked like in the past. After doing some research, we found more information at the Istanbul Archaelogy Museum. It was in the past a place of great moments, just imagine horse racing here. It is also a great place to come.
From the time i first visited Sultanahmet Camii till this time none of my opinions have changed. The way i was amazed and stunned , same way i remain. It was constructed in 1610 and still has that beauty and mystery of past years from Ottoman Empire.
If you have the time take the full day tour along the Bosphorus. It's a lazy way to spend the day and to view the European and Asian sides of Istanbul.
My family and our New York friends were visiting Istanbul and we all enjoyed the visit to Aya Sofya the most. The flavor of both Byzantine and Ottoman Empires is just great.
