I have never had a better tour guide than Selcuk Senkan. He was professional, funny, knowledgeable.
There are many ways to see both Asian and European sides of the Bosphorous.
My husband and I had never been to Istanbul. Although we travel a lot, we’ve never booked a tour anywhere. We are so glad we did in Istanbul. Our guide he has an encyclopedic knowledge of the city…its architecture, its history, rugs, and on and on. We weren’t interested in visiting the Grand Bazaar and Spice Market with him, correctly deciding we could do that on our own. So we spent the day walking around old Istanbul, visiting Hagia Sofia, the Blue Mosque, and other sites. By the end of the day, we were good friends with Gokhan and plan to see him again, either in the States, where he travels frequently, or in Greece, where we have a house on the Peloponnese.
What a great tour of the old part of Istanbul! If you are visiting Istanbul for the first time, we highly recommend you take this tour…it was well worth it!
Wonderful sights from a tour boat..about 2 hours is plenty of time. Homes, forts, church's and mosques all along the route. History is so important here.
Besides viewing this beautiful landmark you should drive on it like we did with a Taxi. At night it is beautifully lighted. This will Awe you.
