For me and my husband it is very important to discover a city. To enjoy it in the best way, in Istanbul we choose a full day tour.
Very impressive and stunning passing from Europe to Asia. Enjoy your stay in Istanbul!
it is always nice to see a place from the water and the trip was ok but nothing to write home about. good to see different places as instanbul is so big and so busy you just cant get round to see it all. it was relaxing though.
We had only one day to see Istanbul. It was a port of call during our cruise. We booked the small group tour and Taylan was our guide. He was excellent. We wanted to see all the highlights of Istanbul, but also wanted plenty of time to explore the Grand Bazaar. Taylan was knowledgeable, polite and interesting to talk to. He was on time, waiting for us when we got off the ship. At lunchtime, we gave him free rein as to what to order for us. He ordered his favorites and we were able to try a variety of local dishes.
WE HAD A GREAT TIME. THANKS
The Grand Bazzar in Istanbul was ultra crowded, full of jewelry, tee shirt, cheap hat, spice, cheap bracelet shops and VERY, VERY PUSHY shopkeepers. This is no place for anyone with walking difficulties – or in fact for anyone.
Hagia Sophia gave me the "WOW" moment in Istanbul. It is beautiful, well maintained, affordable admission ticket, it is a must-see of Istanbul.
Hagia Sophia, built in the 6th century AD by Justinian, is a true marvel. Justinian was a Roman Emperor (Eastern), and commissioned a church to be built. What a church! It is the largest free supporting dome known, and has survived many earthquakes. The inside is quite beautiful, and some of the Byzantine mosaics are truly stunning.
Took both the day and night cruse trips, plenty to see on the way and looks absolutely beautiful all lit up at night. Night time cruise included open buffet dinner and unlimitted soft/non alcoholic drinks. Good entertanment with folk dancing, live music and belly dancing.
I love this place, especially at night. the view is amazing. the garden is gorgeous and large.. I can't imagine a day passes by when I'm in Istanbul without visiting Sultan Ahmet..
Regards to Yesim and many thanks for a super day.
