The Hagia Sophia was one of the best places I visited in Istanbul, with far more charm and history than the Blue Mosque.
From the time i first visited Sultanahmet Camii till this time none of my opinions have changed. The way i was amazed and stunned , same way i remain. It was constructed in 1610 and still has that beauty and mystery of past years from Ottoman Empire.
We have now visited Hagia Sophia twice and each time it has been a fresh experience as the continuing restoration reveals further details of this awe inspiring building, particularly considering its age and the challenge involved in its construction.
