Dolmabahce Palace is realy amazing !
Dolmabahce Palace is great in 2 aspects: the fantastic location next to the Bosphorus and the Grand Ceremonial Hall. The moment I stepped into the Grand Ceremonial Hall, my jaw dropped at the awesome sight of the cavernous hall. The ceiling is very high with a chandelier weighing 4 tonnes which according to the guide is the largest in Europe.
The Basilica Cistern, was by far the most impressive underground structure I has ever seen. It is so mysterious and so grand. The medusa heads make it all much more exciting to see. It really is such an impressive place.
Topkapi Palace was well worth the visit,amazing Architecture and the history,beautiful garden with some amazing views. OMG and jewels were simply breathtaking,holy relics as a muslim I can't explain in my words speechless.this Palace is one of its kind,incredible must must visit.This is most definitely worth the visit you will not be disappointed.
Dolmabahce Palace is worth visiting just to see the crystal chandeliers and crystal staircase, if for no other reason. The carpets, marble, porcelains are stunning. I was lucky enough to be on a small tour so our own guide explained everything. Yes, there is a security check, wait, and no photos are allowed inside.
Coming from Rome to Istanbul, I was partly expecting the Archaeological Museum to be as impressive as what I could find in Rome. While not quite as expansive, if you are interested in ancient history & archaeology, it is certainly worth the trip.
