When you arrive in the port of Kusadasi, your private guide will be waiting to lead you to your own luxury vehicle, during a 20 minute ride to Ephesus, your guide gives you a brief info about the area and about the country.
As you arrive in Ephesus, you will first see the Magnesia Gate, a marvelous example of ancient architecture that once stood tall as an entrance to the city. Begin a downhill walk with your guide into the city’s ruins. The route will take you past the Odeon, the Celsus Library, the Temple of Hadrian, the Fountain of Trajan and the Great Theater. The theater, one of the city’s best-preserved monuments, it is still used today for the local spring festival. It once had seating space for 24,000 people, and it is believed to be the site where St Paul preached to the Ephesians.
This tour includes a visit to the Terrace Houses. ( Houses of the rich.) used from the 1st century to 7th century AD.
After enjoying authentic Turkish cuisine at lunch, returning to port of Kusadasi where you tour concludes.

- Ephesus requires walking long distances over uneven surfaces, comfortable clothing and closed toe, sensible walking shoes are recommended. Sunglasses and sunscreen are suggested.
- We will ensure your timely return to the Kusadasi or Izmir port for this activity. If you are not returned to the ship in time to board, we will arrange for transportation to the next port-of-call.

Great way to tour Ephesus. Total experience exceeded my expectations. Guide was very knowledgeable, friendly, lunch in restaurant at selcuk was included in cost and was very good salad, entree, and dessert plus wine included. Overall, it was a very relaxng and enjoyable day.
Our turkish guide, koksal, is a native of ephesus who speaks English and japanese he was outgoing, friendly, interested in his guests, and extremely knowledgeable of the history of ephesus. excellent
Take a good guide. It is worth it. Stay away from the huge cruise ship organised tours. I recommend Best of Ephesus tours which I will write a separate review of.

Well worth the price of admission. While quite a bit has been restored including many frescoes and floor mosaics, I found watching the workers putting together the jigsaw pieces fascinating. There are a lot of stairs, but handrails everywhere except exiting outside.
I was lucky as there were very few visitors at the time I went.

We were never rushed or pressured into buying anything and even got to see a fashion show. This is something I never thought I would enjoy but it was pretty cool. When going to Ephesus do not miss out on the Terrace Houses they are most impressive and unbelievable. They are the homes of the very rich of the day with indoor hot and cold water, heated homes, indoor bathrooms and even a sauna with heated floors. The rug making tour was very cool, the lunch was awsome and got back to the ship with plenty of time to spare. Thanks

Je n’ai jamais vu de site gréco-romain aussi bien conservé… C’est incroyable, on s’imagine parfaitement la ville telle qu’elle était à l’époque d’Auguste. La bibliothèque est une merveille, et l’amphitéâtre est époustouflant – il s’agit du plus grand au monde. Prenez un chapeau + crème solaire, car il y a peu de zones d’ombre!
