We had a marvellous time. all the things and surprises they are really too amazing.
Travelled to turkey last week and decided to book a private tour for my family, it was excelled. Brilliant sites and ruins, tour guide spoke brilliant English and was a lot of fun.
The ancient city of Ephesus was a thriving metropolis of some 300,000 people in its day, and currently only 15% of the ruins have been excavated. To walk down the Arcadian Way to the Great Theatre has to be one of the most rewarding experiences for a traveller. We also highly recommend the Terrace Houses.
taty 🙂
Ephesus was our favorite port of call. Our guide was extremely courteous, knowledgeable about everything from antiquities, to agriculture, and even funny the tour is much less expensive than the ship offerings and far superior in terms of attention.
Visited as part of our Adriatic & Aegean cruise. Docked in Kusadasi and this provided a short driving tour of the area around the Ephesus site.
Buy one of the books that descibes the site as a helpful resource. The site accepts only Turkish Lira or credit card payments. There is a museum in the adjacent community where many of the original artifacts are housed. The site can become crowded during the peak tourist season and is open air so if it is hot, you’ll be out in the sun the whole time.
Great way to tour Ephesus. Total experience exceeded my expectations. Guide was very knowledgeable, friendly, lunch in restaurant at selcuk was included in cost and was very good salad, entree, and dessert plus wine included. Overall, it was a very relaxng and enjoyable day.
The beauty, remarkable preservation, and historical significance of Ephesus cannot be overstated. The best preserved glimpsed into the lives of the Ephesian elite lies under unassuming plastic coverings on the slope of a hill… If you have made the trek to Ephesus, spare no expense to see the Terrace Houses.
Thank you very much for the Mystery Tours
This part of excavations has a separate entrance and takes an extra ticket. The exposition arranged in a separate roofed pavilion and there are a lot of steps you need to pass up and down. A lot of houses and other structures are unearthed and preserved there with their unique mosaics and frescoes.
