When you arrive in the port of Kusadasi, your private guide will be waiting to lead you to your own luxury vehicle, during a 20 minute ride to Ephesus, your guide gives you a brief info about the area and about the country.
As you arrive in Ephesus, you will first see the Magnesia Gate, a marvelous example of ancient architecture that once stood tall as an entrance to the city. Begin a downhill walk with your guide into the city’s ruins. The route will take you past the Odeon, the Celsus Library, the Temple of Hadrian, the Fountain of Trajan and the Great Theater. The theater, one of the city’s best-preserved monuments, it is still used today for the local spring festival. It once had seating space for 24,000 people, and it is believed to be the site where St Paul preached to the Ephesians.
This tour includes a visit to the Terrace Houses. ( Houses of the rich.) used from the 1st century to 7th century AD.
After enjoying authentic Turkish cuisine at lunch, returning to port of Kusadasi where you tour concludes.

- Ephesus requires walking long distances over uneven surfaces, comfortable clothing and closed toe, sensible walking shoes are recommended. Sunglasses and sunscreen are suggested.
- We will ensure your timely return to the Kusadasi or Izmir port for this activity. If you are not returned to the ship in time to board, we will arrange for transportation to the next port-of-call.

This was an excellent tour of the ephesus. Our guide Emrah was excellent and very knowledgeable. We recommend the full day trip as it gives you plenty of time to see everything and the lunch was fantastic. Thank you.

Part of the Ephesus Tour,however, access is difficult for the mobility impaired. You must climb a series of steep terraced stairs to view the houses and the continuing excavation on the site.
This is a must see,but, in hot July weather you must carry your own water!
We spoke to several people that didn't tour the Terrace Houses because of the additional fee. We absolutely felt that the Terrace Houses were worth the additional fee and were a highlight of our day in Ephasus. The houses and mosaics were incredibly interesting and impressive.

I have been to tons of ruins all over the world and in my opinion, these are the best I have ever seen. The way these houses are built into the hill and the fact that they have uncovered so much is truly amazing. You must be able to climb steep, narrow steps to visit here.
The places we visted were Mary’s House, Esphesus ruins, a pottery shop and a leather goods shop. We also stopped for lunch at a beautiful outdoor cafe. The food and the hospitality was great.
The terrace houses are amazingly well restored and preserved. The mosaics alone are worth the visit. Such an incredible find – only wish someone with more money would pay for more excavations nearby! Such a worthwhile site to visit!
We did a private tour of Ephesus, The Terrace Houses and Sirince Vilalge and it was an amazing day and the views in Sirince were great. We really enjoyed Ephesus and the terrace houses. The private tour was by far one of the best we have ever had, and was comparable to the larger ship tours.
