The tour of the ruins was quite spectacular and extensive, with a re-enactment of the gladiators at the end of the tour. The ruins were up-close, not roped off, and you could actually touch them! I was especially enamored with the library ruins.
Great guides. Great information! Don’t take the cruise line tours they are so expensive!
I would definitely recommended, amazing
Excellent tour and great guide! but the driver does drive fast.
Our tour guide was waiting for us when our ship docked at kusudasi. We rode in a mercedes minivan for a 30 minute drive to Ephesus we spent a good amount of time at ephesus and house of terraces and I can tell you, a private tour is the way to go.
Ephesus was our favorite port of call. Our guide was extremely courteous, knowledgeable about everything from antiquities, to agriculture, and even funny the tour is much less expensive than the ship offerings and far superior in terms of attention.
Our guide was truly a blessing! She was knowledgeable and easy to understand. The vehicle we used was beautiful and very comfortable.
Easy to get to from Selcuk by Dolmus, stopping outside of the museum which has sign which cannot be missed. Many steam locomotives from UK, France, Germany, US and other countries used in Turkey. Also has Ataturks carriage. Even had a couple of snowploughs. Engines are all outside slowly rusting away, could use a little TLC and a new paint…
Definitely worth the money to get the private tour.
This is a realy great tour,. the car was new and very clean, the guide well spoken and knowledgeable.
