We just wanted to let you know we had a wonderful time… It was a pleasure dealing with you and again, thank you so much for an amazing tour.
the ruins of the ancient city of ephesus are a mustsee for people visiting turkey they are difficult to get to so it’s best to go by private tour.
We visited "Virgin Mary's house " quite by accident. Sorry , I do not mean to be disrespectful to the many faithful but having visited the house I feel totally ripped off. In theory there is no charge in but to park and two tickets in it was 10 lira.
Very peaceful and spiritual.
Take an empty water bottle with to fill with holy water after exiting the church.
Light a candle and say a prayer.
Loved it.
Visited as part of our Adriatic & Aegean cruise. Docked in Kusadasi and this provided a short driving tour of the area around the Ephesus site.
Buy one of the books that descibes the site as a helpful resource. The site accepts only Turkish Lira or credit card payments. There is a museum in the adjacent community where many of the original artifacts are housed. The site can become crowded during the peak tourist season and is open air so if it is hot, you’ll be out in the sun the whole time.
This is the place where mary is purported to have lived out her final days…very simple structure, (which you would expect)..doubt that this is the original house…went w/group, so had very little wait time before we were able to go inside….since 2 popes have declared this site to be holy, it must be real.
We had a wonderful trip and would definitely recommend
It was a great tour planned to accommodate a hot day. Great value for money. Thank you very much.
Instead of taking the ships tour we booked a private tour and it was a great day.
Great way to tour Ephesus. Total experience exceeded my expectations. Guide was very knowledgeable, friendly, lunch in restaurant at selcuk was included in cost and was very good salad, entree, and dessert plus wine included. Overall, it was a very relaxng and enjoyable day.
