When you arrive in the port of Kusadasi, your private guide will be waiting to lead you to your own luxury vehicle, during a 20 minute ride to Ephesus, your guide gives you a brief info about the area and about the country.
As you arrive in Ephesus, you will first see the Magnesia Gate, a marvelous example of ancient architecture that once stood tall as an entrance to the city. Begin a downhill walk with your guide into the city’s ruins. The route will take you past the Odeon, the Celsus Library, the Temple of Hadrian, the Fountain of Trajan and the Great Theater. The theater, one of the city’s best-preserved monuments, it is still used today for the local spring festival. It once had seating space for 24,000 people, and it is believed to be the site where St Paul preached to the Ephesians.
This tour includes a visit to the House of Virgin Mary, where she spent last days of her life. House of Mary discovered in a vision by a bedridden German nun in 1812, this stone building is believed by many Catholics and Muslims to be where the Virgin Mary lived her last years. There is also a healing fountain.
After enjoying authentic Turkish cuisine at lunch, returning to port of Kusadasi where you tour concludes.

- Ephesus requires walking long distances over uneven surfaces, comfortable clothing and closed toe, sensible walking shoes are recommended. Sunglasses and sunscreen are suggested.
- We will ensure your timely return to the Kusadasi or Izmir port for this activity. If you are not returned to the ship in time to board, we will arrange for transportation to the next port-of-call.

This is a lovely rest full place to visit , its one of the places you could keep going to time after time , and you feel so well walking around , it never seems to be packed even on sundays when mass is on . no matter what religion you are its 1 place where you will find peace..

Our day went perfectly, our guide was open and flexible to letting us tour at our own pace and we always seemed at least two steps ahead of the large tour groups..
We did a private tour of Ephesus, The Terrace Houses and Sirince Vilalge and it was an amazing day and the views in Sirince were great. We really enjoyed Ephesus and the terrace houses. The private tour was by far one of the best we have ever had, and was comparable to the larger ship tours.

We were never rushed or pressured into buying anything and even got to see a fashion show. This is something I never thought I would enjoy but it was pretty cool. When going to Ephesus do not miss out on the Terrace Houses they are most impressive and unbelievable. They are the homes of the very rich of the day with indoor hot and cold water, heated homes, indoor bathrooms and even a sauna with heated floors. The rug making tour was very cool, the lunch was awsome and got back to the ship with plenty of time to spare. Thanks
The House of Virgin Mary stands on a hill. You drive up from city centre for about 10 kilometres through the forest and when you reach the top,a friendly athmosphere welcomes you.It is a one-, storey stone house.It was adorned by Virgin Mary's picture and candles.
The best time to visit is Sunday morning because that is when you can get in for free like we did. On advice, we simply told them we were going to mass which starts at 10.30. As It happens, we are Catholics and were going to attend the service, which was wonderful as it was in English and had around…
i been but i am not intiresthings religions things 12 lira entrance fee, you need private car to go there.
