Done a half day trip to ephesus, it really is amazing, and steeped in history. They are still uncovering ruins to this day. It gives you a real insight into time gone by.
We greatly enjoyed our half day tour I definitely recommend this tour to anyone.
Great place and very special, but try and skip the buses of dis-respective non appreciative tourists
We visited here as part of a guided day tour we took from Bitez. Im sorry to say the daunting coach ride up here stuck in my head more than the house did (not for the faint hearted) i would not have gone out of my way to visit here although it is nice to pay your respects.
Once you see Virgin Mary’s house you feel that is a sacred moment. Take your time for a little pray; light a candle; it does not matter if you believe or not. Just accept. You will feel it and your heart will be so pacefull. It’s very close to Selcuk town so you can visit it by yourself.
We did a private tour of Ephesus, The Terrace Houses and Sirince Vilalge and it was an amazing day and the views in Sirince were great. We really enjoyed Ephesus and the terrace houses. The private tour was by far one of the best we have ever had, and was comparable to the larger ship tours.
There is a lot of walking so this would be a difficult tour for the elderly.
I would highly recommend great experience to anyone, and I am pleased to say that I had a great time
This is a beautiful place to spend some time especially on a Sunday morning when they celebrate morning Mass.,during the summer it is very well attended by people from all over the world. Some visitors are asked to do the readings which is very nice. After Mass you can go into Mary's House, no photos allowed..
This is good value for money, we were picked up and dropped off to the port. Our mistake was only taking the half day tour. Ephesus only needs a minimum 4 hour.
