Highly recommend for his expertise and a positive can do attitude. The shops are generally too small to allow a wheelchair inside, but some goods are displayed outside.
We visited the House of the Virgin Mary in the hills about 4.5 miles south of Ephesus, where the Virgin Mary is said to have lived the last nine years of her life. This building was discovered by Lazartis from Symrna in the late 19th century based on a vision of a German nun.
The scenery was breathtaking, enjoyed every minute of it. The Microlight was very comfortable and the scenic flight was great value for money and great friendly and experienced pilot.

Love it ! Ephesus is simply beautiful. We had no trouble understanding our guide. Lunch wasn’t fantastic but everything else is good!
Visited as part of our Adriatic & Aegean cruise. Docked in Kusadasi and this provided a short driving tour of the area around the Ephesus site.
Buy one of the books that descibes the site as a helpful resource. The site accepts only Turkish Lira or credit card payments. There is a museum in the adjacent community where many of the original artifacts are housed. The site can become crowded during the peak tourist season and is open air so if it is hot, you’ll be out in the sun the whole time.
We took a taxi from the train station that cost around 50 lira which included a ride back to Ephesus. Entrance fee was around 12.5 Lira per person . The site consists of Marys house and there is not much to see from a site point of view but it is all about experiencing the site and feeling its importance….
the ruins of the ancient city of ephesus are a mustsee for people visiting turkey they are difficult to get to so it’s best to go by private tour.
Do I believe that this is the house of the Virgin Mary? Of course not, but it's still a centuries old place to visit.
My husband and I visited the house where the historians believe Mary lived while in Ephesus. It is more of a shrine and worship place. The grounds are beautiful and the prayer wall is a sight to see. People write their prayers on tissue and slip them onto the wall in the cracks.
