We booked a half day deluxe ephesus tour with this company which went off without a hitch, meeting all of our expectations our guide was the charming yesim whose english was very good she did her best to move us away from the crowds at various points at ephesus and gave clear explanations of the many wonderful exhibits there terrace houses and celsus library. We also went to the house of virgin Mary
All in all, a very enjoyable half day. Would not hesitate to recommend this tour.
It is quite small and they move you through very quickly. There are some fountains out side from the under ground spring. Lovely gardens.
The Virgin Mary's House, otherwise known as Meryemana, Is situated at the top of the mountain behind Secuk. Selcuk itself is a few kilometers away from the better known Kusadasi (there is no dot over the "i" in proper Turkish spelling of this name).
The drive from Selcuk is up a fairly steep and winding road. The road is good…
I'm glad I visited and also glad we weren't there when it was crowded…there were lots of people! Our tour guide was great and he tried to explain how they think they know this was Mary's house…but it still left me a tad bit skeptical.
the ruins of the ancient city of ephesus are a mustsee for people visiting turkey they are difficult to get to so it’s best to go by private tour.
This stop was part of another tour and was quite interesting. It is a small house, restored in the 1950s which is purported to be the location to which John the Apostle brought Mary, mother of Jesus. Legend has it she ended her days here and several Popes have used the site to celebrate Mass.
Ephesus was our favorite port of call. Our guide was extremely courteous, knowledgeable about everything from antiquities, to agriculture, and even funny the tour is much less expensive than the ship offerings and far superior in terms of attention.
We all had a great time, plenty to see and do. What a wonderful day, thank you so much.
The feeling you get when you walk into this house is amazing. It may just be an empty stone building but the you can sense the history. It is like being on a pilgrimage. Won't ever forget it. Well worth the visit.
This is a fantastic way to visit ephesus. It is a fantastic day even the food was excellent and our tour guide was great. Done a day trip to ephesus, it really is amazing, and steeped in history. They are still uncovering ruins to this day. It gives you a real insight into time gone by.
