There were 6 adults in our group. They picked us up at port they will bringing the wheelchair with. Very comfortable air conditioned vehicle. We had our own personal tour of Ephesus then a wonderful lunch. The site is difficult for wheelchairs due to the uneven marble road.
Instead of taking the ships tour we booked a private tour and it was a great day.
The history of this site dating back 2000 years is fascinating and an oasis far removed from the dry plains below.
The cost of a tour was half that of a return taxi trip (there are no buses) and combined with Ephesus, lunch and Temple of Artemis good value.
I have never had a better tour guide than Selcuk Senkan. He was professional, funny, knowledgeable.
We chose a private guided tour rather than a ship excursion and would highly recommend the deluxe ephesus fullday tour.
One of the most beautiful trips. I was delighted with the stories of our guide, bought a lot of souvenirs, drinking water from three sources for health, happiness and love. felt wonderful harmony in the garden near the house of the Virgin Mary.
I am glad that we took the time to visit as it is a place of pilgrimage for many people of many faiths.
Located in a nature park, on top of "Bulbul" mountain between Ephesus and Selcuk. There is a safe road up this mounting without hair-raising drops!
This is a very spiritual place. Even if your not religious, this place feels special. There's a feeling of calm and serenity here, it's hard to explain.
There was a forest fire a few days…
We did not find the visit an intrusion, but rather an experience that we all enjoyed, and it was not very long. We had booked a deluxe half day tour, but we were all tired, but felt that the day had been well worth it, Ephesus was fantastic,
A surprise if you are expecting desert-like geography, as portrayed in any movie about Mary and Jesus. Up in the hills with large trees and cool breezes, the area is tranquil and peaceful. You can walk through the, rebuilt from ruins, home of the Virgin Mary then fill your water bottles from the blessed spring.
