I would recommend a private guided tour even though there are signs with explanations all along the way.

Our day went perfectly, our guide was open and flexible to letting us tour at our own pace and we always seemed at least two steps ahead of the large tour groups..

This was an attraction I almost passed on, but my flight attendant recommended it. I am so glad I went! The tour of the ruins was quite spectacular and extensive, with a re-enactment of the gladiators at the end of the tour. The ruins were up-close, not roped off, and you could actually touch them!!! I was especially enamored with the library ruins.
Gunes was an excellent guide. We had a lovely day lunch was very good, and the group really enjoyed themselves. Highly recommended and I hope you get Gunes!
