Dolmabahce Palace is great in 2 aspects: the fantastic location next to the Bosphorus and the Grand Ceremonial Hall. The moment I stepped into the Grand Ceremonial Hall, my jaw dropped at the awesome sight of the cavernous hall. The ceiling is very high with a chandelier weighing 4 tonnes which according to the guide is the largest in Europe.

I enjoyed visiting the Hagia Sophia but there was not as much information as i would have liked once inside.
Topkapi Palace as a great piece of architecture, it truly stands out. The interiors,the massive expansive structure,the different parts of the palace, take most of your day. So,keep a full day till 5 pm for visiting this palace. There is a separate ticket for the harem section. So,if you are not interested ,take only the palace tickets.H AREM section is separate n has another entrance.
The tour of the ruins was quite spectacular and extensive, with a re-enactment of the gladiators at the end of the tour. The ruins were up-close, not roped off, and you could actually touch them! I was especially enamored with the library ruins.
What an absolutely fantastic day it was my 38 th birthday and I couldn’t have spent it in any better way! Our guide Selcuk was very knowledgeable and entertaining, lunch was delicious and Ephesus magical especially the Terrace Houses and House of Virgin Mary. Could have stayed forever.:) All in all a very well organised private tour.
