Can't leave cappadocia without visiting Derinkuyu. It is huge mountain with a lot of curved rooms, church, stairs and unique rock formation we had really so much fun hiking, climbing and see this ancient, fascinating place.
This a great river canyon to hike, steep cliffs and national park trails up and down the portion where all the cave churches, shrines, monestaries, and dovecots are found. This was a 5th to 14th Century Christian enclave and refuge. The river complex goes from Ihlara to Selime, with Besirma in the middle.
A highlight in the Cappadocia, no photos can describe the fantastic views you will encounter, of course take enough time to explore, to discover, to imagine the panorama you will see here.

This tour is really astonishing! To imagine that so many people lived underground in these caves is mind boggling. But, this tour is not for those who fear small, cramped spaces or being underground.
The city is full of narrow stone tunnels and steps that go down. It has a long history, apparently going back 4,000 years, includes some period where it was used by Christians. If you're claustrophobic, have breathing difficulties, or have related allergies then you won't be able to make it here.
It takes 5min from the Zemevalley enterence from Goreme side. Located on the small hill but if you have hiking around Goreme, it is nice to visit. Famous for Fresco and world heritage of UNESCO.
Beatiful place, lots of formations to admire and paths to explore. beaware you have to be very careful in some areas as there are no handrails. This site is usually included in tours leaving Goreme but you'd better do it by your own.
