Antalya is a city on the Mediterranean coast of southwestern Turkey. It is Turkey’s biggest international sea resort, located on the Turkish Riviera.
In 2011 the city had a population of 964,886 and the metropolitan municipality 1,041,972. Antalya was the world’s fourth most visited city by number of international arrivals in 2011, with 10.5 million annual visitors. Most of these tourists were changing planes or moving between the airport and the cruise lines.
Antalya,
It looks good but has been heavily restored with new material. Surprising really as there is so much original material lying about everywhere. When you see what they are doing in Perge you will see what I mean.
Was in the area for a destination wedding, but wanted to see the "real" Antalya, not just our resort. Took a wonderful day trip here and thoroughly enjoyed the sites.
i bought so many thing at bazzar , traditional turkish things , but if you wanna to buy clothes , better to visit to ozdilek & migros !
Very cool old city. Small narrow streets add to the character of this part of Antalya. It almost takes you back in time. Worth a visit for a couple days and the weather was great for this time of year!
A beautiful Harbour and old town – a small glimpse into "Turkish Life" – yes – there are some parts that are a little comeracialised but the walk down to the Marina through cobbled streets and unique shops and bazzars are well worth it – from Kundu – it the 07 bus and costs less than a can of coke…
Kale bar and restaurant has great food and views. Also try Vanilla Lounge for haute cuisine. Have a look at the broken minaret and Hadrian's Gate. Lots of lovely little streets for shopping.
beware if you are looking for a sandy beach, its all pebbles. The beach shelves into the sea so its hard to get in and out. Its also a strenuous walk from the last tram stop so be prepared.
Old and attractive. The tower looks over the old town area of Anatalya. It is worth a picture or two.
A beautiful place to visit, side streets are gorgeous, lots of photo opportunities and lots of cats (which for me was not a bad thing).
Lots of places to eat but also lots of people trying to get you to eat in their restaurants.
Sometimes can be quite wearing.
Really is a stunning place and the street markets are lovely,…
When you first arrive here, you will probably love the view. The castle ruins, the turquoise sea and the boats all contribute to a fantastic view.
However, looks are deceiving. Don't be fooled by this great looking place because you will soon notice that the salesmen will try to sell you boat tours in an aggressive manner. They will tell…
