Antalya,
The harbor is beautiful, the only thing it lacks is restaurants right in the harbor area. There are few restaurants facing the water on the top. There is a Bazaar for those who want to shop and get souvenirs.
It is worth a trip to the Harbour if you get chance. There are lots of boats, so can barter for a good price, and there are lots of different shops on the way down to it, which again have some good bargains and a good variety of things, so worth a visit. There is also some nice bars and…
It's a bit of a tourist trap inside the old castle as all the prices are marked up for tourists and many people try to sell you things. Apart from that it's nice to stroll through the narrow streets.
Beautifully placed within the old town of Kaleici is worth a dozen visit if you are into cheap or genuine fake shoppings. We four male friends went there and emptied our pockets shopping for our wives, girl friends or family members. We couldn't find that economical prices and good quality of cloths, jewelry, shoes etc in Istanbul. One must at least visit once…
There are many boats which offer daily tours both for swimming or visiting some falls. It takes 1-5 hours depending on your choice. Prices vary between 10-15 Euro. Nice option if you stay at Kaleiçi.
We have tried telling the traders that if left alone we would be more likely to see something we want to but, we do not like being hassled
It was beautiful looking at the bay along the walkway to the old town.
a lovely clock tower a when up close a great sun shade, if you are anywhere and you need a point to meet its there. if you walk down the harbour from here there are some great shops to see, beware the hill is steep and pavement can be slippy.
Very quaint and interesting oasis in the centre of what is not the most attractive city, by any stretch of the imagination. Lovely cobbled streets and alleyways, and some really beautiful old buildings. There's obviously been a lot of restoration in recent times, but it's a shame that there are also many really hideous 50's and 60's blocks of flats…
Kaleici is the old town of Antalya, containing the original harbor and surrounding buildings. New construction is forbidden there, so most of the buildings date back to the 17th-19th centuries, with some much older. Although a very touristy area, it has a lot of charm. Some houses have been converted into boutique hotels and restaurants. There are a large number…
