Antalya is a city on the Mediterranean coast of southwestern Turkey. It is Turkey’s biggest international sea resort, located on the Turkish Riviera.
In 2011 the city had a population of 964,886 and the metropolitan municipality 1,041,972. Antalya was the world’s fourth most visited city by number of international arrivals in 2011, with 10.5 million annual visitors. Most of these tourists were changing planes or moving between the airport and the cruise lines.
Antalya,
This place is worth your time and shoe leather. The walk may be a bit steep and tricky at time, but so worth it. The sea is clear and the views stunning. The boats cost about $10 US if you haggle, but you may have to wait for 30 minutes or so until more customers are found. Most will give…
This is a very special place! Very small town but with lots of history. I enjoyed walking around and sampling the different restaurants. The turkish people are VERY friendly and eager to help even though they hardly speak a word of english!!
Found the beach untidy lots of litter cans/plastic bottles. Each hotel monitors beach but no ongoing collection of sea front rubbish concentrate only in sunbed areas
A short distance walk from anywhere in the city. You can get on a boat tour cheap if you wait until the last minute. A nice cliff side bar just up the stairs with a sea view at sunset. A great place to just sit and relax.
The main thing that bothered me was the loud music. It is a rocky beach, so rent a chair. Swimming is somewhat challenging because the water gets deep close to the shore. I liked the old town beach much better.
We travelled in November, staying in the city, but visited Konyaalti on a very pleasant walk from Antalya. There's a tram that takes you part way there if you prefer. There was some charm to it's off-season, slightly run down quietness. Still plenty of cafes open with seating outside to enjoy the bay views.
beautiful worth a visit , go and pay a couple of quid to use the private beach and hire a snorkel and mask and say hi to all the fish.
it was lovely to say that we had been here but it was also a bit of a let down as there was,nt much to see, maybe if there had been aguide to bring it to life it may have been better and we walked around the old town which was well worth it as you got a feeling of the…
Konyaalti beach is the most beutiful at sunrise. The weather is not very hot and water is clean because its not crowded. If u want to visit Konyaalti beach do it at the morning ar at night !
We did not have much time but this was another "must see" site in Antalya together with the mosque, harbour and Madrese.
