Antalya is a city on the Mediterranean coast of southwestern Turkey. It is Turkey’s biggest international sea resort, located on the Turkish Riviera.
In 2011 the city had a population of 964,886 and the metropolitan municipality 1,041,972. Antalya was the world’s fourth most visited city by number of international arrivals in 2011, with 10.5 million annual visitors. Most of these tourists were changing planes or moving between the airport and the cruise lines.
Antalya,
Very nice harbour with a beautiful restaurant up the stairs with lovely view of the sea, was amazing. Boat trip guys can be very pushy and will walk with you trying to get you on their boat. Make sure you know your way back to where you come from as you can get easily lost through the market streets.
Of course, everybody loves sandy beaches, but gravel beaches have the advantage of the water being very clear. Love the beach and the promenade with all the restaurants, lounges etc.
Great place to visit and see, walk through the old city it is very beautiful. well worth the visit.
Hadrian's wall is stone pillars.
It’s a pebble beach with crystal clear waters. The beach is approx 15 km long and a lot of areas that you can go swimming in. We went to beach 4 most of the time.
Worth a visit if your in the Antalya region. The old town has a small Harbour full of little shops & stalls on the walk down. sample the local goods in the Bazaar or take a boat trip. The main Town of Antalya is very modern plenty of shops, bars & restaurants.
5 mins drive heading back towards the sea…
The daily trip boats are incredibly noisy. But we had our beers near the theater so we were far away from the noise. The staff was very helpful, very nice.
I loved everything about this beach as the hotel that I stayed in Porto Bello Resort and Spa was right next to it, and a part of this beach is actually the hotel beach. The beach itself is very well maintained, clean, and the sea is very warm, clean and clear in August – you can see through the water…
By walking in the old town you can feel the history of antalya , enjoy an afternoon walk in the old harbor , eating ice cream and having a turkish coffee in one of the cafe arround the marina.
If you visit Antalya by plane or by car you have the famous beach that you enjoy with nice sun and weather ,you can also visit the interesting archaeological museum .the old town called by Kaleici is one of the busiest place in Antalya , but don’t miss the waterfalls few kms away from the town.
very ancient houses in the fantastic narrow streets with beautiful small shops, hotels and restaurants. I never forget the essence of Kaleici.
