Visit the Dolmabahce Palace, is one of the most imposing and beautiful pieces of architecture along the Bosphorus, built 1843. Dolmabahce Palace, the monumental example of the Ottoman capital city, influenced by the widespread aesthetical approaches of the dominant European architecture at that time, comprises many characteristics of the Ottoman palace architecture tradition. It is one of the highlights of Turkey.
After leaving the Dolmabahce Palace you will have the opportunity to do some haggling at the Grand Bazaar, the Grand Bazaar in Istanbul is like any bazaar except that, as its explains, it is all within one huge building. Depending on how you measure it, the covered market here could be the largest shopping center in the world, numbering over 4,000 individual shops, you will find among masses of modern trash an approximation of youthful dreams of the glamorous oriental market.

Ok, everybody knows what the grand bazar is so just some hints and tips. For orientation: Up is always south and west.
1. Avoid the "main" entrance from the tram station if possible, the most aggressive vendors wait just outside.
2. Whatever you see there it is on sale and unique and can only be bought in this shop. Wrong…
We were only in Istanbul for one day, but thanks to the excellent work of our tour guide Taylan our party of eight was able to get a real taste of the city. Can’t wait to go back and spend more time in this fascinating place.
We went to the Grand Bazaar and bought table cloths, mosaic lamps and carpet I thought it was reasonable price after we negotiate for a discount.
The Grand Bazaar is like the “Cave of Ali Baba”, full of sparkles from the true jewelry, the fake jewelery, the copper objects, the light bulbs. The smells can not also be forgotten. It is unique and amazing.
For once, we did not visit a site on our own, but saw Dolmabache Palace with a day tour. That may have influenced our experience negatively, since our time was strictly constrained. (We prefer to explore at a leisurely pace.) However, you cannot visit the interiors of Dolmabache Palace WITHOUT being on a guided tour.
Como explicar lo maravilloso de la gran ciudad de istanbul para y muchos mas es la ciudad mas mistica y gracias al tour privado consegui conocerlo M A R A V I L L O S O O O 🙂
We booked a private tour in advance, much the best way if you wish to appreciate the splendour of Dolmabahce. Architecturally it is nothing special, but the interiors are stunning. This palace is what other palaces could have been if they had not been stifled by the dead hand of good taste.
We had a lovely tour of Istanbul with our tour guide and the tour is so much better and less expensive than any group tour the cruise ships offer.
