We took the four hour tour which was very nice. We saw both the European and Asian sides. We learned so much about Istanbul and the famous buildings through the tour guide on the boat. We were also able to swim on the Black Sea. Quite a treat although the currents were terribly strong almost too dangerous.
For those for whom "shopping" is an emotional experience, a visit to Istanbul cannot be complete without a visit to the Grand Bazaar. Given, this is no longer a visit to historical Istanbul. Even I, who first visited the Grand Bazaar in the late '60s can see how commercialized and unauthentic it has become since then.
A nice view of both the European and the Asian sides of Istanbul. You will see Ottoman palaces, centuries old mansions and see where the who's who of Istanbul live and party.A pleasant way to spend a couple of hours in the afternoon
We were only in Istanbul for one day, but thanks to the excellent work of our tour guide Taylan our party of eight was able to get a real taste of the city. Can’t wait to go back and spend more time in this fascinating place.
Since everyone seemed to consider the Hagia Sofia a must see, it was one of the first sites I visited when I got to Istanbul. It was impressive, with beautiful architecture – but the scaffolding made it a little harder to appreciate than I would have liked.
A walk along the Bosphorus is a great way to unwind from the historic tourist track. Highly enjoyed my time along the waterfront watching the locals catching fish.
We so appreciate Taylan’s arranging a guide for us at the last minute. We got a wonderful review of his services from a neighbor just as we were leaving for Istanbul. He was able to reach out to a guide he trusted and arrange for two days in Istanbul visiting the most important sites.
Hagia Sophia is a must see in Istanbul and there is no way that you will miss this attraction if you are in the city. There are prayers held at periodic interval and during this period , the entrance is stopped. In case, you want to visit the place from inside, then plan your timing properly..
Hagia Sophia is amazing.
伊斯坦堡的现代化相当令人印象深刻。
