The big tip is to try and go completely private. Many of the large tour companies offer private tour and they are going to charge a significant amount of money for the tour guide. However, many locations offer self-guided tours and therefore you have the ability to supply your own tour guide. Easily Book your guided private Ephesus tours, to see all the treasures of Ephesus Turkey. It's often said that Turkey has more ancient cities and classical ruins than does Greece. Well, it's true, and the Aegean coast holds a great number of sites, including Ephesus, the grandest and best-preserved of them all.
Grand Bazaar, one of those great let-downs that’s nowadays crawling with tourists, thieves & expensive trinkets. It was probably a much more interesting place 100 years ago when it resembled more of a flea market full of slaves, illegal arms & expensive silks.
O me, the atmosphere there in Hagia Sophia so special, sacred, fair… Right now, there are huge scaffolds standing in there on the left side, which is a bit of a pity for those who cannot come like twice a year..
The Grand Bazaar is like the “Cave of Ali Baba”, full of sparkles from the true jewelry, the fake jewelery, the copper objects, the light bulbs. The smells can not also be forgotten. It is unique and amazing.
Topkapi Palace is a huge complex and to do this properly you might need a whole day. Get there early and go straight to the Treasury ( big diamond) and the Hareem as these deveope big queues quite quickly. Then take you time wandering around the various about the various courtyards.
We had only one day to see Istanbul. It was a port of call during our cruise. We booked the small group tour and Taylan was our guide. He was excellent. We wanted to see all the highlights of Istanbul, but also wanted plenty of time to explore the Grand Bazaar. Taylan was knowledgeable, polite and interesting to talk to. He was on time, waiting for us when we got off the ship. At lunchtime, we gave him free rein as to what to order for us. He ordered his favorites and we were able to try a variety of local dishes.
WE HAD A GREAT TIME. THANKS
You may think it's too crowded and it's such a long walk to go through the whole BAZAAR! true but it is a must visit attraction in Istanbul, very interesting, you see locals all around selling all kinds of clothing, souvenirs, fake brands, a huge selection of everything…
We were only in Istanbul for one day, but thanks to the excellent work of our tour guide Taylan our party of eight was able to get a real taste of the city. Can’t wait to go back and spend more time in this fascinating place.
My children and I had a great time thank you..
Read a lot before you visit Topkapi, the place is really huge. Be prepared to wait at least 20 min to get into the jewelry pavilions. Some of the buildings can be closed due to reconstruction.
The Blue Mosque (Called Sultanahmet Camii in Turkish) is an historical mosque in Istanbul. The mosque is known as the Blue Mosque because of blue tiles surrounding the walls of interior design. Mosque was built between 1609 and 1616 years, during the rule of Ahmed I. just like many other mosques.
