The big tip is to try and go completely private. Many of the large tour companies offer private tour and they are going to charge a significant amount of money for the tour guide. However, many locations offer self-guided tours and therefore you have the ability to supply your own tour guide. Easily Book your guided private Ephesus tours, to see all the treasures of Ephesus Turkey. It's often said that Turkey has more ancient cities and classical ruins than does Greece. Well, it's true, and the Aegean coast holds a great number of sites, including Ephesus, the grandest and best-preserved of them all.
Hippodrome is one of the nicest places to visit in Istanbul, esp if you are looking for something hundreds of years old, yet maintained in a very clean, interesting manner. The Hippodrome is the Roman name for this place which was made for horse and chariot racing in Roman times. Classic fountains, gorgeous old trees….
A visit to the old Hippodrome now known I believe as Sultan Ahmet Square, is I believe a must for lovers of ancient history. situated between the aya sofia and the Blue Mosque who's entrance can be found off of it.
The Hagia Sophia architecture is very unique in both inside and outside. It survived many years of revolution in the past and offer a great deal of history.
Skip your guidebook and contact this guide for a fabulous travel experience in Istanbul. We were in Istanbul as a stop on a cruise so were there for just a day. Taylan was our tour guide and she was excellent. Not only was he a great guide, but he was also really pleasant and engaging. I would highly recommend this company, and Taylan specifically.
Hagia Sophia is really crowded place but what to say!it is very normal!it is so beautiful museum! Older than 1500 years! And still standing like in first day!it is nice mix of islamic and Christians! It is complitly worth it to see it! You will see allways many people standing on line! But it worth it to wait that long!
I had heard so much about Istanbul's Grand Bazaar that perhaps my expectations were too high. Loads of stores, overpriced merchandise, definitely colorful, but nothing unique or unusual that I wished I would have bought. I've been to many bazaars, and this one was certainly not the best.
After read about Hagia Sophia in art history lessons it was still more impressive in real life.
Grand bazaar was very beautiful, but inside they ask 3 times the amount of money they ask outside the bazaar. It's pretty to see, but it's all the same.
What a great tour of the old part of Istanbul! If you are visiting Istanbul for the first time, we highly recommend you take this tour…it was well worth it!
I visited Dolmabahce Palace in my last trip to the beautiful Istanbul. The palace consists of two main bulidings. The first one is where the Sultants have had their receptions and the second one is called the Harem Section, where the women and servants used to stay. You have to buy a full ticket to enter both buildings.
