It was a great day with so much to see in such a beautiful city
the ruins of the ancient city of ephesus are a mustsee for people visiting turkey they are difficult to get to so it’s best to go by private tour.
From the moment our tou guide picked us up at the hotel until she dropped us in the afternoon she was helpful and flexible. It was a great tour planned to accommodate a hot day. Great value for money.
If you are a steam train fanatic you will love this, I am not but still found the museum very interesting and no crowds in nice gardens. Over 30 locos. We went on Attaturk's train carriage and the fact that you could get aboard was great.
Our tour guide was waiting for us when our ship docked at kusudasi. We rode in a mercedes minivan for a 30 minute drive to Ephesus we spent a good amount of time at ephesus and house of terraces and I can tell you, a private tour is the way to go.
Seeing how people lived nearly 2,000 years ago and how they took advantage of what must have been considered ultra-modern science is fascinating. The housing units, while literally piled atop one another, are still separate and distinct.
We really enjoyed. Set in beautifully well kept grounds and there is also a small museum which is very interesting.
Well worth the visit.
The tour was very reasonably priced compared to those offered by our cruise ship. We really appreciated the personal touch only afforded by a small group tour. I would strongly suggest that anyone traveling to Ephesus. You won’t be disappointed.
We really enjoyed our visit to Kirazli village. It is a cute little town with authentic Turkish charm. We got lunch at a local restaurant where we saw Turkish pancakes and Turkish pizza being made by hand. The food was delicious!
