Kirazli village is located 10 km outside of the holiday resort town of Kusadasi. Kirazli itself is a small, traditional village with some excellent local restaurants serving organic local produce, including organic wine, and the valley and the mountains that surround the village offer some lovely walks with amazing views. Kiraz, lying in a fertile bowl valley beneath the protected pine forests of Gul Dar (Rose Mountain) is Kirazli Koyu (Cherry Village).
What Kirazli Vilage has is shares with everyone. The natural beauty, the friendship of its inhabitants and the slow, steady pace of it’s lifestyle. The good produce of sour cherry and cherry and giving the importance to these fruits, caused the name of the village.renamed as Kirazli. Parallel to agriculture, stockbreeding was developed; animals increased such as cow, sheep, goat. Cherry Festivals began to be held from 1975; during these festivals beauty contests were organized, and cherry production was inspired. Recently Cherry Festivals are delayed because of economical problems for now. Kirazli is a a world away from the hot and bustling tourist centers of the coastal strip.
Kirazli has a great location for exploring the region. Only a couple of kilometers away from Kusadasi, the village of Kirazli provides a complete countryside experience. You will virtually be the only tourists there..Stunning traditional stone-built house is a superb place from where to explore the incredible surroundings of ancient Ionia.
Kirazli Village, Kusadasi,
Kirazli itself is a small, traditional village with some excellent restaurants (open all year) serving organic local produce, including organic wine. Kirazli is only fifteen minutes from Ephesus and the attractions around Selcuk.
We wish we had spent more time at this Kirazli village. The wines made at the village are one of the best found in the region. Every street and corner is scenic and a candidate for a beautiful photograph. Spend time here, roam its alleys and if you have the time consider spending a couple of nights as well.
Kirazli is a nice village in a beautiful hilly location. Full of boutique hotels and simple-but-good restaurants. Cooler than the close by Ephesus, I recommend it as a relaxing break from archeology/beach wandering.
A great way to spend a couple of hours wandering through a small village in the mountains. Kirazli village (by law) is unchanged. Old wood and stucco houses , cobble stone streets, old Mosques. If you want to get away from the world, this is a good place to come.
We really enjoyed our visit to Kirazli village. It is a cute little town with authentic Turkish charm. We got lunch at a local restaurant where we saw Turkish pancakes and Turkish pizza being made by hand. The food was delicious!
Kirazli village is wonderfull. If you looking for a nice village and naturel rich place, here is number one of the world. many place in turkey like that. Especailly I like homes and nature.
Our group of 6 adults added this village to our day-long tour of Ephesus – and we’re glad we did! It is a beautiful ride up the mountain to visit this lush Kirazli village. The small streets are lined with stand of families or small businesses selling a variety of olive oil and products and countless other Turkish specialties. There were several small restaurants as well.
Our tour guide took us to the top of the town to an outdoor restaurant where we enjoyed what I believe was one of the best meals of our two-week cruise vacation.
In short, this village is a wonderful, relaxing respite from the hot walking tours of Ephesus (also highly recommended). If you have time while visiting Ephesus, make a visit to this friendly town!
Kirazli is a rural village in a lovely setting in hills above Kusadasi. Its a charming place in my opinion the privatetour was the best part this because of the beautiful nature with extraordinary view along the hillside, with fruittreas in blooming. But you cant be afraid of hights.. the road is very narrow 🙂 Definitely worth a visit.
What a great little place in a perfect village of Kizrali. With tables under the cherry trees and plenty of locals to validate how fabulous the food is its definitely worth a side trip off the main tourist drag.
My wife found the village of Kirazli, knowing how keen I am on cherries – even if the blossoms were just coming into season. Our tour guide Taylan recommended this place for breakfast, telling us it was the best in the area. How right he was. From the moment of getting there we were made welcome, and everything was delicious. Shame it is near the end of our trip – but we’re planning to come back her for lunch. Oh, and dinner. Umm, and certainly another breakfast, too. It was just that good. Stunning location, the genuine article.
