The Bosphorus Bridge, is one of two suspension bridges spanning the Bosphorus strait in Istanbul, Turkey; thus connecting Europe and Asia. The bridge is located between Ortaköy (on the European side) and Beylerbeyi (on the Asian side).
It is a gravity anchored suspension bridge with steel towers and inclined hangers. The aerodynamic deck hangs on zigzag steel cables. It is 1,560 m (5,118 ft)[1] long with a deck width of 33.40 m. The distance between the towers (main span) is 1,074 m and the total height of the towers is 165 m. The clearance of the bridge from sea level is 64 m.
The Bosphorus Bridge had the 4th longest suspension bridge span in the world when it was completed in 1973, and the longest outside the United States. At present, it is the 21st longest suspension bridge span in the world.

We stayed very close to the Bosphorus bridge. At night time it had a beautiful light display and the fact that it expands two continents is still mind-boggling. It connects Europe and Asia, and especially at nights it is beautiful to look at. I recommend Bosphorus trips at night/evening when all its lights are on to be able to appreciate its full beauty.
It's passes you from Europe to Asia. Well do not imagine it's not a place you can walk and have a coffee, it's just a normal bridge that takes you to "the other side". If you plan renting a car and go to Asia avoid peak hours of the day, you might need even half hour or more to drive…
Impressive and modern construction. Bridge between Europa and Asia.
