The Bosphorus Bridge, is one of two suspension bridges spanning the Bosphorus strait in Istanbul, Turkey; thus connecting Europe and Asia. The bridge is located between Ortaköy (on the European side) and Beylerbeyi (on the Asian side).
It is a gravity anchored suspension bridge with steel towers and inclined hangers. The aerodynamic deck hangs on zigzag steel cables. It is 1,560 m (5,118 ft)[1] long with a deck width of 33.40 m. The distance between the towers (main span) is 1,074 m and the total height of the towers is 165 m. The clearance of the bridge from sea level is 64 m.
The Bosphorus Bridge had the 4th longest suspension bridge span in the world when it was completed in 1973, and the longest outside the United States. At present, it is the 21st longest suspension bridge span in the world.

Just a great experience since Istanbul is the only city in the world that is located in two continents and crosing the bridge is an experience unlike any other.
It is a famous bridge. So windy in there. You can easily go to Europe continent and Asia continent by this bridge.
Both of the Bosphorous bridges are impressive sights, especially when they are lit up at night. Well worth having an evening beer and watching the lights change colour. On a car if you crossing, they can be pure Hell!. It took 2 hours to cross one of them.
I was passing many times the Bosphorus Bridge many times by car, bus going from European part to Asian one.
But the most interesting and exiting is when in the evening time you sit in cafe near the Bridge, drink Turkish tea and look how the sun shines under it
probably the best way to see the bridge judging from the large amounts of traffic on it 🙂 …. hopefully you'll have the luxury of seeing it in this manner…
Fun to walk the top part of the bridge. Be aware that the bottom of the bridge is full of restaurants and the workers won't hesitate to hassle you to stop in. We ate a small meal their once, just for the view, but if you want excellent food, go elsewhere!
İt is the bridge between Asia and Europe. You have to expreince to pass between two continent.
Connects two continents, has a beatiful view over the city. You should also watch the night illuminations.
