This park cracks me up! Featuring models of any & every important site ever in modern Turkey and throughout Turkish history, even including the Ephesus, Topkapi Palace… this is a great attraction for first-timers and children. It is also located along water and gives a nice view of some residential areas of the city.
Miniaturk is a display of miniature buildings and sites of turkey. Its a nice place to visit but the best time is during the evening.
Excellent specially if you like architecture, urban and history you can see all of value building in turkey in a pretty park.
It's a huge open air maquette including all the historical places in turkey like meusems, mosques, old housing…
When you pay for ticket, tell them what your language is to give you the correct audio gide which will be very useful as you will not find any help inside as most of turkish people speak only turkish.
Miniaturk is a huge open air museum located at the northeastern shore of the golden horn in Istanbul. It contains models of Turkish and Ottoman heritage, such as Sultanahmet mosque, Rumeli hisari, galata tower, chimneys of capadocia, Mardin stone houses, models of ottoman war ships and many more..all separated by beautiful landscaping.
It's good to see all miniatures together from all over Turkey and Ottoman art works around Turkey. Mosques, castles, bridges, city walls, cisterns, fortresses are worth to see. Crystal museum is nice too. Since it's open air attraction, a hat would be good idea in summer.
It is well organized, very interesting for family.
It has all the historical and modern sites of Turkey with small sizes
This is the place I wish someone had told me to go before I did anything else. Here you can see the miniature of basically all the major historical attractions and places of interest in Turkey. That way you can choose which ones you fancy the most and actually start planning your whole trip from here.
This place is so informative, you can get information from each mini tourist site by your chosen language. It's better to visit miniaturk prior to explore all the historical sites in Istanbul or other cities.
Its a brilliant way to know all Turkey's attraction in a short time. My kids really had a good time. The audio explanation available at every miniature was excellent. The kids also love the train that goes around the park.
