Beautiful hike! Although crazy hot I would suggest bringing a umbrella to help keep the sun off you while hiking.
You descend into the Red Valley, during your walk you will see several chapels where the monks were living the monastic life and pigeon houses and the colors here is rose and pink.
This area is another large area of homes and places to worship of the ancients. It was facinating.

The best hikes are in the Red Valley, in Pigeon Valley between Uchisar and Goreme, and in the Uludere Valley from Uludere village to Ayvali, you walk in the Pigeon Valley with its rock-face pigeon lofts and on the and trek the Red Valley.
If you have some type of limited mobility like can’t walk far, bad knee, ankle, heart condition, or whatever this is the way to see the valleys. If its hot out, hiking can very uncomfortable, so you can ride ATV’s throughout the town and the countryside.
You can either walk or go there by ATV. Try to be around there at sunset. It is great to see the shades of red.
