The Bosphorus Strait is beautiful, busy like all of Istanbul, and integral to the economic future of Istanbul. On both sides of the Straits, business takes place, and old and new live side-by-side. There is so much to see in this historic place, and it is all connected by the Bosphorus Strait.
Hagia Sophia is just simply beautiful… all the way around. The architecture and all its history. Also, it is very easy to find as it is within a very short walking distance from almost every hotel near the center of the city. I most definitely recommend it.
Hagia Sophia….absolutely breathtaking experience…a must see when you visit!
The hippodrome is now a road at the back of the Blue Mosque. There is nothing left of the stands that would have been here, but using your imagination you can see where the track may have been.
