This is just at the top of the hill from Ephesus. If you traveled this far why not go all the way.. It is only like 10 mins away… Very quite and peacfull. Very relaxing…
We have travelled a lot but we have never used a tour guide before so we were a little skeptical. We also had an offer from another tour operator and it was pretty much the same price. We had a fantastic day, It was amazing.
We loved this site for its religious significance and beauitiful setting in the mountains. We were there around lunch time so there where no tour goups. Ths was good since the house is very small and will only hold a few people. The only way to get there is by Taxi.A visit to the site only takes about 30 minutes….
WE HAD A GREAT TIME. THANKS
Way up on the side of a hill in Turkey sits the site that some believe is the home of the Virgin Mary. It is a nice drive up the mountain and the site is surrounded by tall pines and is a quiet, cool and peaceful place.
We thoroughly enjoyed our time. Thanks
My husband and I found this place to be very moving and spiritual. The place itself isn't that large but the history beind it is amazing. You are also given candles as you exit the home to pay tribute. There is a nice spring of water which we were able to fill small pottery bottles.
Ephesus tours was fantastic.
It seems to be widely accepted that this is in fact the last house of the Virgin Mary. I felt very priveledged to have been able to visit this site, while on a tour offered by Princess Cruises. The now monistary is very small and takes only minutes to see through. I took the opportunity to light a candle.
This tour was booked as from a cruise ship arrival for 10 people. I must say we realy enjoyed we had a great time.
