Antalya,
We booked this holiday with the hope to laze by the beach for most of our holiday but soon found it was near impossible because the beach was pebbled, which broke our stroller. That said the water was very clean
A wonderful maze of winding streets with little shops, restaurants and boutique hotels, set above the harbour, from where you can take a boat trip, or just sit at a cafe and people watch. Lots of character, charm and history.
It might not suit people with walking difficulties, as some of the streets are quite steep, and there are a…
The whole bazaar is just chock full of dodgy rip-off gear. Seems Turkey has no respect for copyright legislation. There was no authentic Turkish arts and crafts – just tons of Hollister, Prada, Ben Sherman, Fred Perry, Ray Bann duds!
The area is a must-see but be careful – there are merchants and boat tour guides who are constantly after you to buy. The Antali cafe is very good for coffee, treat or dinner. The path can take you to a modern amphitheater with beautiful views of the sea.
Very hot when we visited. Glad we just came across this and did not walk miles to find it. If you're into ruins you may get more out of this than we did.
Everything about this area of Antalya we found interesting and Turkish people were friendly and helpful…. Good hotels ( except the Alp Pasa) so look around..
we enjoyed haggling to get good prices and got many gifts to take home to our friends and some for ourselves!
i think its the best place in antlya
there are many historical sites , restaurants , cafes , shops and hotels in this place , I stayed in one of them and there is kaleici marina its a very nice place .
Lovely scenery, but shops, retaurants and boat staff just hassled for business constantly, so it got really annoying, apart from that great!
We loved visiting this beach by taking the old tram to the Museum stop & then walking downhill to the beach. I recommend water shoes as the beach is stony but very clean. We loved Aydin Beach Club, Beach Park, Antalya. The staff here were very friendly & attentive. The facilities, toilets, changing etc are spotless. The food was tasty…
