What is there left to say about the Hagia that hasn't been said before? It is a stunning building with an extraordinary history and should not be missed from your 'bucket list' of things to do/see. We are all fortunate that after the Moslem defeat of the Christians, that they decide not to destroy the building.
Turkey is a lovely country and they know how to preserve history! This museum is great, has many interesting things to see. The sarcophagus of Alexander, the great, is very special!
Hagia Sophia is just simply beautiful… all the way around. The architecture and all its history. Also, it is very easy to find as it is within a very short walking distance from almost every hotel near the center of the city. I most definitely recommend it.
I highly recommend that if you are going to travel to Istanbul that you contact Taylan from privatetour.net to make arrangements.
